At the prime age of five I sagely discovered the cons of becoming a figure skater in the Icecapades. Drowning my sorrows in finger paints and cutting out the various color swatches in my mom's Sears catalog, I found comfort in my creative side. 15 years later I was a month away from graduating college with a degree in English and Photography...and again it seemed like I needed to re-evaluate my career path. Fortunately, this time around it didn't involve dressing up like Santa. My roommate and dearest friend recommended Graphic Design; it was a brilliant suggestion: the marriage of art and words. After earning a degree in Graphic Design I gained experience as an in-house designer for various companies (including Harvard Business School, IBM, and Sugarbush Resort) before establishing my own freelance design studio. And here we are.... But enough about me, let's talk about you. What your needs are. Let's discuss how to captivate your audience, inspire them to remain engaged with your product, and leave a lasting impression initiated by the unique and creative concept designed just for your company. Because that's what I love talking about. It's exciting to mix images with words; to play with color and typefaces; develop a smart concept with a focus on detail and execution. And that all starts with a conversation and from there deriving what your needs are and developing your project. I have worked individually with clients and other times have teamed up with other creatives (copywriters, developers, and agencies). Presently I live in Vermont's beautiful Mad River Valley where I design for local businesses as well as companies, universities, and non-profits around the country. When I'm not designing I can be found playing in the mountains, or if the snow is just right, sledding down my road. |
